General Health Advice
Getting General Health Advice
You do not always need to see a GP. There are several ways to get health advice, check symptoms, or access routine support:
- Visit a local pharmacy: Pharmacists give clinical advice and over-the-counter medicines for common minor illnesses without an appointment.
- Check the NHS Health A–Z: Look up conditions, symptoms, and treatments to find out what to do and when to seek medical help.
- Get urgent medical advice via NHS 111: If you have an urgent medical problem and are unsure what to do, use NHS 111 online (for people aged 5 and over) or call 111 (available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week).
Contact us online with eConsult
