Lyme Regis Medical Centre provides a minor injury service for minor burns, cuts, splineters, foreign bodies in the eye, ear or skin.

The minor injuries unit is open during the following times:
Monday – Friday: 08.00 – 20.00
Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holidays: 08.00 – 13.00

All serious or major injuries are dealt with in Dorchester or Exeter hospitals. For an emergency, dial 999.

The MIU can see adults and children over the age of one if you have a minor injury including:

  • Bites and stings
  • Cuts and grazes
  • Emergency contraception
  • Limb injuries
  • Minor burns/scalds
  • Minor ear problems
  • Minor eye injuries
  • Minor foot, knee, hand, elbow and shoulder injuries
  • Minor head injuries
  • Nose bleeds
  • Removal of foreign bodies from the ears or nose
  • Removal of splinters and fish hooks
  • Skin infections
  • Sprains and strains
  • Wound care
